Paperchase scoops two Retail Week Interior Awards

Paperchase beat off competition from Apple Berlin, Top Shop Los Angeles and Chanel London to win the prestigious ISG Retail Interior of the Year and the Non-Food Design of the Year.
    
Paperchase and designers Made In Place Design were delighted to win the ISG Retail Interior of the Year. This is awarded by the judges as the 'best of the best', the premier accolade at the Retail Interior awards. The company sees this as further evidence that not only do Paperchase produce original and unique product design but that passion for design is mirrored in all aspects of the business.

The awards focused on the innovative take on store design in Paperchase’s new Glasgow Flagship store. Ken Wingate of Made in Place Design said ‘the store was designed around the product, to clearly define product categories, without fragmenting the store, points of architectural interest were created to provide focal points such as the central staircase, glass lift core and coloured glass floor to break down the space and aid customer flow and navigation.’ Retail Week’s John Ryan praised the store saying ‘The store, which opened in the spring this year, is an object lesson in taking what might be one of retail’s more mundane sectors and giving it a design shot in the arm.’

The accolades follow a successful year of new store openings for Paperchase despite challenging trading conditions. Paperchase continues its growth and expansion plans; with the opening of 4 more UK shops before the end of this year as well as expansion into Germany.
